Our studio, here at Padma Yoga, is a beautiful space. The studio itself was a dream hatched with yoga friends in the summer of 2010. It was driven from the desire to have a clean, warm and peaceful space in which to practice yoga. After years of teaching in church halls the time had come to give the heart of our yoga practice a home. Converted in the hands of great local tradesman, and given life as a studio in October of that year, it transformed our practice space.
Four years later, in 2014, we moved to our current studio, above the bowls pavilion at the Constitutional Club in the centre of Spalding. Our community had grown and we needed more room! With high ceilings, solid wood floors and big windows the sunshine floods in during the day and the summer months. During the dark winter months we create a warm and cosy space to nurture ourselves.
Our new studio was chosen carefully to keep that special feel we’d created in our first studio space. The studio has a whole energy of its own. Born of the many hours of practice under its roof. The positive energy of each of our students contributes to making this a very special space. I hope you will agree!
The studio is the home of our yoga community. It’s where we get together to share our practice, to develop deeper insight in to ourselves, physically and spiritually, and it’s where we meet as friends. The one thing that you will hear is the sound of voices and laughter when we meet and when we leave. During class we turn our attention inwards and re-connect with ourselves on a deeper level, listening to our body and mind, being guided by our teacher. The classes are light and fun, encouraging us to fall in love with ourselves and our yoga practice.
Classes are limited to 18 students. This allows us to give each student the attention they need, it does mean that classes are booked in blocks of weeks with limited options to drop in. We hope that by committing to a practice you can connect with our studio and find that quiet space in your week to enjoy some time just for you.
There is ample on street parking around the studio. Alternatively do your bit for the environment by cycling or walking to the studio. It’s a great way to prepare for a class and to spend a little time connecting with nature at anytime of the year. Please take a look at where to find us for our address, and more details on parking.
